Raúl Orellana De La Cruz, nació en el Distrito de Quinua una Villa de grandes Artesanos a 25 Km. del Departamento de Ayacucho – Perú. De profesión Comunicador Social, de la Universidad Nacional San Cristóbal de Huamanga.

Desde muy niño se dedico a la artesanía, continuando así con la tradición de sus abuelos. Me especialice en Retablo y Cerámica. "Además, toda mi familia son artesanos menciono", de esta manera muestra su arte al mundo entero y a través de estas expresiones en retablo y cerámica reflejo las costumbres folklóricas, religiosas y sufrimientos de los andes del Perú profundo.



Muchas obras de Raúl Orellana, están siendo expuestas en los Museos del Perú y Europa, sin embargo, manifiesta una preocupación permanente que todos los Artesanos tinen con los intermediarios, "nosotros los productores no somos quienes vendemos directamente sino estos intermediarios que se aprovechan para vender a costos muy altos perjudicándonos".
